Who is this course for?
From newbies to photographers a few years into business, this is the course I needed as I started to expand my horizons from outdoor golden hour photos only to indoor portraits that tell a family's story. I use light preeeetty differently from going outside to inside, so even if you have a good understanding of outside portraits, this will help you keep your beautiful style consistent from outside to inside.
I use my phone to take pictures. Do I need to own a camera?
Not necessarily. I use these same concepts whether I'm using my phone or my fancy camera! But it is easier to perfect the photo while taking it using a camera over a phone because you are given more control. That being said, if you understand light before anything else, you've mastered the first and most important thing in gorgeous portraits and beautiful photography.
Do you use any artificial lights, like flash, in this course?
Not this one! In this course we exclusively talk about using natural light in an indoor location. Does this mean you can't introduce a flash into your indoor photography? No! Once you've taken this course and understand light, feel free to experiment with other light sources!
I'm a mom taking photos of my kids. Will this course work for me?
Yes! Understanding light and how to use it is universal for any photographer, no matter what you're trying to photograph! Understanding light is the first step in creating images that you love! You'll learn how to use the light in your home to create gorgeous family photos!
How long does this course take?
